🤖 I have created a release beep boop

9.16.1 (2026-07-09)

Bug Fixes

Documentation

  • clarify is_initialized() semantics (SDK-2641) (#454) (bab14db)

This PR was generated with Release Please. See documentation.

Note

Low Risk
Mechanical version and changelog updates only; no runtime code changes in the diff.

Overview
Release 9.16.1 bumps the package from 9.16.0 to 9.16.1 across the release manifest (.release-please-manifest.json), ldclient/version.py, pyproject.toml, and the provenance example in PROVENANCE.md.

CHANGELOG.md adds the 9.16.1 section (2026-07-09), recording a bug fix for data source error reporting ([#447]) and documentation clarifying is_initialized() semantics ([#454]). This PR does not include those code/doc edits—only the version and changelog/release metadata updates typical of Release Please.
